The purpose of the National Junior Beta Club is to promote the ideals of character, service and leadership among middle school students, to reward meritorious achievement and to encourage and assist students in continuing their education after high school. Beta members participate in service projects and are held to a very high academic standard. To join the club students must have an A average, and be nominated by one of their teachers. The most exciting part about being a Beta member is going to the state convention in the spring! At this convention members can participate in academic, performance, or artistic competitions to showcase their talents.
