Students who participate in UIL for grades 2-5 have the opportunity to participate in a range of events. All events are aligned to the curriculum and expand upon what students learn in the classroom. Students in grade 2 may participate in Creative Writing, Storytelling and Math. Students in grade 3 may participate in Ready Writing, Storytelling, Math, Spelling, and Music Memory. Students in grade 4 may participate in Ready Writing, Number Sense, Oral Reading, Spelling, Art, and Music Memory. Students in grade 5 may participate in Art, Dictionary Skills, Listening, Maps, Graphs and Charts, Music Memory, Number Sense, Oral Reading, Ready Writing, Social Studies, and Spelling.
